Product Description

DDl is a unique aliphatic diisocyanate which is long-chain compound with a 36-carbon dimer fatty acid.lt gives DDl superior flexibility, water resistance and low toxicity compared to other aliphatic isocyanates.

DDl is a low viscosity liquid that can easily soluble in most polar or non-polar solvents. Based onaliphatic isocyanate,it has the characteristics of non-yellowing.

Product properties & Features

Core Advantages:

  • Non-yellowing: Fully aliphatic structure without benzene rings, outstanding resistance to UV radiation and thermal oxidative aging.

  • Low toxicity & high safety: Extremely low vapor pressure (<0.001 Pa at 25 °C) and faint odor, eco-friendly for application.

  • Low water sensitivity: Long hydrophobic molecular chain provides shielding effect, excellent stability against water, enabling production of stable water-based emulsions.

  • Superior flexibility: The long C36 chain delivers internal plasticization effect, with excellent low-temperature toughness and high elongation at break.

  • Good compatibility: Soluble in most polar and non-polar solvents, and features great miscibility with polyols.

Applications

Industrial & High-Performance Materials

  • Solid Rocket Propellants: As a curing agent for hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB)-based propellants, replacing TDI and IPDI, offering low toxicity, moderate reactivity, and lower burning rate

  • Aircraft Fuel Bladder Tanks: Used in the manufacture of fuel-resistant storage tanks

  • Polyurethane (Urea) Elastomers: Imparts excellent flexibility and mechanical properties

Adhesives & Sealants

  • The dimer acid backbone provides superior adhesion performance and flexibility, suitable for demanding durability applications

Coatings & Surface Treatment

  • Waterborne Coatings: Imparts excellent water resistance and adhesion to coatings

  • Textile Finishing: Offers outstanding weather resistance, abrasion resistance, and aging resistance as a textile printing and dyeing auxiliary

  • Leather Treatment: Enhances leather brightness, hand feel, scratch resistance, and water-whitening resistance

  • Inks, Paper Treatment, Wood Waterproofing Agents

Electronics & New Energy

  • Electronic Materials (Photoresist Materials): Used in high-end electronic encapsulation

Packing & Storage

50kg/ 190kg/metal drum packaging.

Storage should be cool, dry and ventilated.

The shelf life is 12 months, after the expiration of the re-inspection can still be used. Avoid rain and sun during transportation. Do not mix with strong oxidants.
