Product Description
Chemical name: Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene
CAS No.: 69102-90-5
Code: HTPB
Standard: GB/GJB(GJB1327A-2021)
Product properties & Features
HTPB is a new type of liquid rubber (resin), which is the liquid hydroxyl terminated polymer of butadiene. HTPB have reactive hyroxyl groups. it can react with chain extension agent, croslinking agent in room temperature or high temperature to generate 3D network structure of curing content that with excellent mechanical properties. The polyurethanes prepared from HTPB can be engineered for specific physical properies (highly elastic ortough and rigid).
The performance properties of HTPB as follow:
Hydrophobicity
Reactive hyroxyl groups
Excellent mechanical properties with a glass transition temperature of -70 ℃.
Low color -high clarity viscous liquid
Resistance to hydrolysis
Low temperature resistance
Low moisture permeability
Resistance to aqueous acids and bases
Strong wear resistance
Excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates
Electrical insulative properties
Excellent mechanical properties
Applications
Coatings
Adhesives
Propellant
Sealants
Binders
Rubber & Plastic products
Electrical insulation materials
Polyurethane (PU) elastomers
Structural materials in car and plane
Building materials (waterproof, anti-corrosion,heat insulation)
Potting and encapsulation
Polymer Modification
Packing & Storage
Storage should be cool, dry and ventilated. The optimum temperature is -20~38'c. The shelf life is 12 months, after the expiration of the re-inspection can still be used.
Avoid rain and sun during transportation. Do not mix with strong oxidants.
