Triphenylmethane -4,4',4'-triisocyanate 27.5%
Ethylacetate 72.5%
Product properties & Features
Our RE is of Chinese origin (manufactured in China) which the same performance as BAYER's Desmodur RE, is a solution which contains 27.5% triphenylmethane-4,4',4"-triisocyanate and 72.5% ethyl acetate.
It's a universal curing agent / crosslinker foradhesive based on hydroxyl polyurethane, natural and synthetic rubbers, especially great for bonding rubber materials.
It's also widely used for bonding metals with rubber.
Furthermore, RE can be applied onresin, antioxidant, plasticizer, etc.
In adhesive field, RE is applied asthe crosslinking agent on neoprene adhesive and or phydroxylpolyurethane adhesive in footwear areas.
Our RE features the following core properties.
1. High NCO reactivity: NCO content of approximately 9.3%, enabling rapid cross-linking at room temperature.
2. Excellent bonding strength: Exceptionally strong adhesion to rubber-to-metal, rubber-to-rubber, leather, and fibers.
3. Aging and solvent resistance: Enhances the product's heat resistance, oil resistance, chemical resistance, and abrasion resistance.
4. Broad compatibility: Highly compatible with natural rubber, neoprene, nitrile rubber, polyurethane, and other materials.
Applications
1/. Rubber Adhesives (Primary Use)
- Rubber-to-metal bonding: tires, vibration dampers, seals, rubber rollers, conveyor belts (replaces traditional hot vulcanization, simplifying processes).
- Footwear industry: curing agent for neoprene/polyurethane adhesives; high-strength bonding of outsoles to uppers (rubber/leather).
- Rubber-to-fabric composites: conveyor belts, tarpaulins, medical tapes, fiber-reinforced rubber products.
2/. Two-component Polyurethane Coatings
- Industrial anti-corrosion paints: metal structures, pipelines, equipment; improves adhesion, hardness, and salt spray resistance.
- Elastic flooring/waterproofing: concrete protection, roof waterproofing, highly elastic wear-resistant coatings.
3/. Polyurethane Elastomers & Sealants
- Cast elastomers: rubber wheels, bearings, wear-resistant bushings; high resilience, tear resistance, and impact resistance.
- Sealants/caulks: construction, automotive, engineering machinery; oil resistance, weather resistance, dynamic sealing.
4/. Other Specialty Applications
- Pressure-sensitive adhesive modification: improves initial tack, holding power, and heat resistance.
- Resin/composite materials: crosslinking modification for epoxy and phenolic resins; enhances strength and heat resistance.
Packing & Storage
750g/bottle, 20 bottles in one carton, 24 or 30 cartons in one pallet
20kg/drum,18 drums or 27 drums in one pallet
55ka/drum,8 or 12 drums in one pallet
180kg/drum, 4 drums in one pallet
Storage
Please store in the original sealed jar under 32°C,the product can bepreserved stable for 12 months.
It is very sensitive to the moisture. It will produce carbon dioxide and insoluble urea in the reaction withwater.
If exposure to the air or light, it will speed up color changes, but the practical function will not be affected.
